Before our arrival I read the complaints to Joe the manager , over the phone he assured me that they were handled previously and that his staff would handle all my complaints or " heads would roll" . As you will read this was not the case upon arrival in our room we first noticed we had been placed over the office with a lovely view of the roof , we noticed a stain on a cushion over looking the window , I placed my hand in it , th8inking perhaps water from a a/c unit , it had the consistency of semen , I immediately washed my hand , and covered the stain , we also began to notice the walls had stains , appeared to be old food stains eg marinara sauce?The microwave was on top of the Fridge , which I add now the freezer didn't work , we had to move the microwave to the desk to get it to reach the plug, we hen learned that the microwave didn't heat food , it rotated made noise but that was it , we attempted to warm a frozen item for over 20 min , still frozen, now in the hotels defense they did offer to switch us rooms, however we did not want to have to unpack and repack again , even if you take the room out of the equation it gets worse , my wife came to swim , we were told a heated pool, this was a pool , heat was not in this pool nor in the room the pool was in , numerous kids were there, granted kids have to swim we had no problem with this however there was NO adult supervision , clearly violating their own rules, this was Friday night , we returned to our rooms , near the stairway the smell of marijuana, was clearly smelt, also the rules state 5 to a room , my wife and i personally observed groups of men and women going in and out of the rooms, there was a haze observed , complaints were made , nothing done, Btw the cops were called the first night to take away a strange drunk man at the front door. Day 2 Saturday, i went to the zoo with my wife returned to find more smoke figured we will give the pool another go . bad idea, more kids no supervision , two of the more mature young men , if u can call them that actually were using a backboard used for rescue as a surfboard , i commented to the front desk , she advised she would handle it , i heard later they resumed their activities later , we were told the pool closed at 10 yet at 10 20 numerous kids are again in the pool unsupervised , i come down to surf the web and check my mail etc I see a security officer talking with the lady at the front desk the conversation goes something to the effect of his company was going to be providing security occasionally there she commented some of the problems they had was drunks , weed smoking , prostitutes etc , Sunday morning before check out , the smoke and weed smell is horrid , along with myself and several other customers demand something be done the two young front desk staff members state the 1st warning wasn't logged so they cant make them leave , because there is no proof of a warning , finally they go upstairs and apparently were afraid to knock on the door , so the cops are called finally after what seemed like 10 min they open the door , the cops stand by and watch as they room is apparently searched and no one is arrested and they are made to leave this place was horrid , what had the possibility of being a wonderful getaway for my wife and I turned into a weekend nightmare, why did we stay u ask? because at the front desk clearly marked in bold letters is NO REFUNDS, gee cant imagine why . I had never up to now stayed at a micro hell er i mean micro tel and if this is any indication of the motels i will stay with Howard Johnson's each time . I really feel like we need a partial or full refund or a comp night , though I doubt I will receive any satisfaction from anyone . If so I will do them the courtesy of stating such on here . Please if u stay here DO NOT STAY ON A WEEKEND . AND MAKE SURE U INSPECT THE ROOM U ARE STAYING IN BEFORE U PAY A DIME. my WIFE AND I ARE WORKING POOR we go pay check to paycheck , like a lot of us this was a big deal to us . unfort it was horrible
