We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel. Dinner was very pleasant and the complimentary continental breakfast was far more than we anticipated. We will definitely consider this hotel as our stop over place with a free shuttle to the aiport as well. The price was very economical and everything was above normal standards for the hotels near the Detroit airport.

Delta provided me with a voucher to stay at this hotel after complications with my flight left me stranded in Detroit. I was told that a shuttle runs continuously and would arrive at the airport every 10-15 minutes. After waiting for over 40 minutes, I called the hotel and was given an impolite response when asked when a shuttle would arrive.

I arrived at the hotel and was quickly checked into my room. The room was quite dingy, the bathroom was particularly vile- very old and dirty fixtures, peeling wallpaper, rust stains. The shower was stained with dirt and rust, needless to say, I skipped my morning shower.

I was shocked at the overwhelming stench of marijuana filling the hallways.

I estimate that I was woken up about 10 times throughout the night due to loud noises in the hallway- people yelling, slamming doors, etc. The provided breakfast was disgusting. I grabbed an orange and left as quickly as possible to get back to the airport in the morning.

When I booked this hotel it stated that shuttles run 24 hours a day on the hour and half hour, there is also a sign in the lobby that states this policy as well. This was a concern to me as our flight did not come in until 12:15 a.m. and I did not want to have to track down a phone number to call a shuttle. When we went to the area for where we were to catch the shuttle, it was about 30 degrees. Traveling with me was my husband, 8 year old son and 5 month old daughter. We waited outside, for fear that we would miss the shuttle for about 45 minutes, shuttle never showed up. We went back inside the airport and found the phone number to the hotel. I was then told that no the shuttle does not run 24 hours, but is on demand after 6 p.m.! This would have been WONDERFUL information to have upon check in. Instead I foolishly believed the information online and the lobby which stated that it runs on the hour and half hour. Even after calling the hotel it took 20 minutes for the shuttle to show up (this hotel is at the very most 5 minutes from the airport) Once back to the hotel we were going to warm up our car but on the big flat screen was the movie Pretty Women which happened to be showing a bedroom scene...REALLY??? That is not something I want my 8 year old watching! Not to mention our room was in the back of the hotel off of a very poorly lite lot, and lets face it the Detroit Airport is not in the best area. Anyone could walk into the hotel, you didn't have to have your room key to enter the hallway. The room had 1 trash can none in the bathroom or vanity area, and was not what I would consider clean. NEVER staying here again! We do a lot of park sleep fly packages and this hotel was by far the worst we have encountered in Detroit.

When I have an early flight out of Detroit Metro I always try to stay here the night before. There is a park/sleep/fly option that makes it a really good bargain - a room and parking for not much more than the price of parking alone. It's easy to find and is a short shuttle ride away from the airport. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes 24 hours/day. The rooms in this older facility are clean, the beds are comfortable and there is food available on site until quite late in the evening. (I've never eaten dinner in the restaurant.) A continental breakfast is usually included in the price of the room and is quite adequate. The common areas are clean and attractive.The front desk staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
