positives: comfortable hotel and good value for money with 8 days parking included in overnight stay and $10 for each extra day - timely shuttle to airport - healthy breakfast options negatives: outdated bathrooms, not the quietest rooms, ask if there are any busloads of sports teams coming in as we arrived when the buses did so check in was a bit of a nightmare

This hotel offers a fairly nice room for a good price. Stayed here for one night prior to attending an event at a nearby hotel. Two restaurants on site. Flat screen tv. Room was clean and had nice amenities. Nothing to complain about. Though I normally prefer a two room suite type hotel, this one was fine for one night. Would stay here again.

I would recommend this to anyone with an early flight out of detroit metro airport.

Check into the Courtyard Marriott on a Sunday evening.  We are taking an early morning flight to Aruba on Monday morning.   We had purchased a fly and stay package from the hotel.  Larissa was working the front counter.  She was very friendly and helpful in explaining our parking options.   She went out of her way to make sure we understood our options.   We chose to park the car in the lot across the street tonight and take the hotel shuttle tomorrow morning to the airport.   Parking the car took about 5 minutes, the lot is right across the street from the hotel and the shuttle brought us right back to the hotel, about a 30 second ride.
The room was of ample size.  It appeared clean except for a black residue that was in the bathtub.  We were able to wipe it out with just a wet wash towel, we should have notified housekeeping but did not want to bother them or take the time.
The room has free wifi however the connection  is very weak in our room (148). We were unable to get a good connection with our iPad or iPhones.  We could connect for a few seconds but would then drop the signal.  It seems strange that in today's times you can not get a solid Internet connect in a hotel.
The room was a king room with a sofa.  The bed was comfortable however the sheets and comforter were very thin, requiring us to turn up the heat at night higher then we usually do.  The room had a very large flat screen TV.
The shuttle was right on time and we arrived at he airport with out any problems.  I would stay at this hotel again if was catching and early morning flight.
