As soon as I checked in I was leary but late for a meeting in Detroit. I checked in and came back 2 hours later. Once I actually opened the door to my room OMG! Stains on the floor, mold in the air conditioner, bedspread from 1978 never washed... I IMMEDIATELY went to the front desk and asked for my money back. They wouldn't give it and the manager would not talk to me on the phone! Called her and she hung up! When I called next day, she said you will not get you money! I paid but did not stya! QUALITY INN right down the street was the same price MUCH better!

I reported this to Super 8 headquarters and called them several times. 1 month has gone by and NOTHING has been done!

stayed before and after flight out of detroit good value if you need to park for extended time (2 weeks) very basic no extras i mean NO extras no coffee maker no shampoo in room pop machine said use at own risk rooms were clean enuf i guess not likely to stay there again but it is good value

I stayed here right next to the airport on December 14, 2010. Well, you get what you pay for, but the one review I read had raved about this value. The room and bathroom were clean, but there were lots of marks and scuffs on old paint. The bed sheets were, ..., um, ..., clean I think, but ... . Well, they were literally so small that the bottom sheet literally was spread only on the top, not enough to go over the sides for tucking! And they were so thin that after the next washing they might be gauze. The pillows were clean, but of the smallest, flimsiest construction I have ever seen. The curtain was too small and didn't cover the window. The clock was blinking and needed setting, the wake-up call number never had an answer. The parking lot was frozen ice and the sidewalk was not cleared either--simply hazardous. The desk person was professional and kind. I slept on top of the covers in my clothes. I paid only a little, and it did serve the purpose of quick access to the airport. However, don't use it for any other purpose because likely it will be a disappointment.

The hotel management/owners are extremely rude and not willing to work with customers. We stayed here as we were on a one night/day layover. My husband's flight was in the afternoon and we kindly asked if we could check out of our room 2 hours after the checkout time but an hour before the checkin time. We were told that we would have to pay for an entire nights stay in order to do that. The lady then claimed it was because the room couldn't be rented out for that night as the maid wouldn't have time to clean it because she usually leaves around noon (checkout is 11). The hotel had only a few people staying in it and we had arrived late in the evening before. They continued to talk about us in their native language (middle eastern) as we waited for our shuttle and pickup in the lobby because we couldn't stay the 2 hours in our room. Also there is no "free local calls" when we tried to order pizza via the room phone it hung up on us. After asking the front desk we were told there isn't really any local calls even though the signs say there are and we would have to use our cell phones to order. We were also told there isn't any internet in the hotel even with the "free wireless" claims as we were trying to look up our flights.
