stayed 1 nite before heading out to Vegas on Nov 11 2011. after front desk guy was done arguing with another customer I got checked into first room (106) outside access, Time 12 midnite. TV still on, half eaten pizza on table, bed not made and towels and garbage all over room. Went back to front desk, he's arguing with another customer. Got new room (206) still outside access. Time now 12:30am. Room is clean but freezing, put loud heater on to warm room up, brushed teeth, washed hands and face and climbed into bed. Watching sports while room warms up, football picks just about to come on TV so put jeans back on, run down to car to get my picks I had on a piece of paper in car. Pass 3 guys outside thier room smoking HUGE joint. Get football picks head back up to room. Door won't work. Back down to front desk guy who is arguing with someone on phone. He's done with him comes up with me and confirms battery is dead, he will put me in another room till morning. offers me crappy toothbrush, razor and stuff to get ready in AM. yeah right, I want in my room. He calls manager, they argue on phone, he slams phone down and says manager who lives on 3rd floor will be right down. Manager shows up grabs crow-bar and another hunk of iron to "un-lock" my door. All 3 of us go up to my room. Manager uses hunk of iron and crow-bar to force door jam over enough while front desk guy throws his shoulder into the door. All kinds of racket ensues, no-one in the adjoining rooms comes out to investigate and my door if flung open. "Well there you go" the manager says....he thinks its OK for me to stay in the room that he just wrecked the door. Uh I kinda want a different room I say. Well OK we can put you up the 3rd floor in a business KIng room they finally say. Grab my stuff and go up to the 3rd floor (inside access!) they give me a card and I go in. Time 3am. This room is freezing, turn on even louder heater to warm room and try to sleep. Heater noise won`t let me so at 3:30am I climb out of bed and turn it off. Finally fall asleep only to wake freezing at 4:30am....so cold I had to succumb turn heater back on and toss and turn until 6:15am when alarm goes off. aarrgghh! shower go down to sample free continental breakfast. Make a waffle and pocket an apple and muffin for the plane ride. Rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor were sparce but acceptable, bathrooms small but had hot water.
Last time I stayed the nite before a flight I stayed at the Comfort Inn. I`ll spend the extra $14 and stay there next time
