We have been staying in this place for many years for the park sleep and fly deal. They provided a room with 10 free nights of parking in a locked lot. They had their own shuttle which worked well. The rooms were never that good, but we stayed one night at a time, and the convenience was the main thing. This time, they have been taken over by a new company - and are changing their name again and again they told us. My bill said the place was called Premierer Inn Metro Airport, but the business card said Americas Best Value Inn.

I asked for a non smoking room, We went through three rooms before we could stand the smell. The place is now 100% non-smoking. One of the keys they gave us took us into an occupied room - with a foul woman sitting on the bed smoking. Feh! Finally a room that was half way decent - but only barely. We stayed here on the front and back of our trip.

Our next trip out of DTW will be next fall, and we will be forced to choose another place, even though the parking will not be as convenient.Don't stay here, you won't be happy.

They told us that they are redoing all the rooms. Perhaps if everything is redone and they are able to get the stench out of the rooms, we would reconsider - after we read some positive reviews from other folks.

The only positive note is a restaurant across the road that we really strongly suggest you try - Leonardos, an Italian place with great food. I am writing a separate review for it. Look for it.
