Recently stayed at this hotel while my husband was at a conferance. This hotel used to be the Crown Plaza and has undergone allot of renovations. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on with large fluffy duvets. The room was very clean and good size. I can't say anything negetative although we did have trouble with our TV and had to have them come up and fix it. They are in the process of switching to HD and that has caused some problems but they came up and get ouR TV working with a smile and friendly service. Our room overlooked the pool in the courtyard however we didn't use it. They have a very nice lobby bar. I will definately use this hotel when we fly out of Detroit airport.

Much better as a Sheraton than Crowne Plaza . Updated Lobby and dining . Flat screens in rooms but still not much else . Still probably the best bet for a full service hotel near the Detroit airport . Food is ok , but if you have transportation go to Miller's bar for one of the best hamburgers ever! It says bar but it's family friendly

My husband, our daughter, our grandson and I spent New Year's Night at this hotel before my husband flew out of Metro on the 2nd. Our grandson swam in the pool with his grandfather while my daughter and I sat pool-side eating pizza. The hotel is beautifully decorated and modern. The room was large and the pool and its surrounding area were enjoyable to be in and around. We were disappointed that they did not have a restaurant but food would have been available to us in the lounge if we had wanted. Shuttle service to the airport was available but my husband did not use it.

We chose this hotel because I had a certificate to stay at a Sheraton, and we all agreed that it is a clean and enjoyable hotel at which to stay. There is another Sheraton, a Four Points, down the street. We went there first thinking that was where our reservation was. Thank goodness we were at the wrong Sheraton as it did not smell good in the lobby and there was no light over the main entrance. We definitely would stay at the Sheraton at 8000 Merriman again.

There is a pool and lots of sunlight in the atrium of this hotel. The room was up to date, and had a bed so comfortable, my wife threatened to stay. It is everything one could want in a hotel, clean, neat, updated, free parking, free shuttle to the airport and back, and the most important to me Starbucks African Kitmu coffee in the room.
