If you ever need a really nice, clean, and comfortable hotel while in the Detroit area, especially during a layover, this Baymont In is perfect. I was able to secure my room for under $45.00 (that is not a typo) Nowadays, that's almost unheard of unless you want to settle for low quality hotels. This Baymont had a friendly staff and the morning breakfast selections were very good.

My partner and I stayed at this Baymont the night before flying out for a vacation getaway. We checked in around 9 p.m. and there were quite a few people standing in line ahead of us slowing down the check-in process. There was a new girl at the reception desk who was being trained, and she was a bit hesitant in what she was doing and was a bit unsure of the correct procedure for taking wake-up call requests. (No biggie though, because we did get our wake-up call.) We'll cut her some slack, but the biggest disappointment (other than the slow check-in) was that she really didn't smile or greet us when it was our turn to check in. That was one thing the trainer should remember to instill in new hires... friendliness!

The hotel was pretty full that night, and fortunately there wasn't too much noise. We just didn't sleep all that well. There were two full-size beds in the room, and the mattresses weren't really all that spectacular. (You could say they were a step above Motel 6 beds and a step below Hampton Inn beds.) Perhaps the reason we didn't sleep all that well had a lot to do with our excitement about the trip. Who knows.

We can't comment on breakfast because we had to leave the hotel before breakfast was served. There's no pool or anything to comment on.

The Romulus Baymont is just your average hotel. We got a pretty good deal on our room, so it worked out okay. :-)

We stay at the Baymont whenever we are catching a flight and have since we were lucky enough to discover it. The staff pleasant and the rooms have all the amenities needed and are clean. We also especially like that the car stays parked at the hotel for the week while we are gone and it is convienient to get to the airport in the shuttle provided. We have never had the opportunity to experience the included continental breakfast as it isn't offered until after we have gone to the airport. We will come back to this hotel every time we fly provided the quality and cost remain.

We stayed at the Baymont 8-9-11 for an overnight stay just before our early morning flight. The Hotel is just across the expressway from Detroit Metro. We have stayed there several times before. Staff was friendly and professional; we recognized one from last year. The prices are reasonable, and the room comes with free car parking for 7 days and extra days for only $5 a day. Can’t beat the deal as airport parking for a 10-day vacation alone is more than the cost of an overnight stay. Rooms are clean, not luxurious, and a little small. There were 3 of us and with our luggage in the room it was crowded. Beds were not the softest, but not the worst I ever slept on. Not a place I would like to spend a week in, but the day before vacation we are usually to excited to sleep, let alone the 3 AM wake up call to get ready to go to the airport. The hotel provides a shuttle that runs every 30-minute, and takes you to your terminal, a short 10 minute ride. You are dropped to the arrival area, and you are picked up at the same place. During the day they are always there anyway, at night you may need to call. The hotel was deserted when we were there but it was a Tuesday night. For the 6 hours we stayed in the room, I would go back for the price and the cheap parking.
