“Great for a Park, Sleep, Fly.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel January 21, 2012 as part of our Park, Sleep, Fly. We were pleasantly surprised to find this to be a very nice place to stay. In fact, we wished we had more time to enjoy the room but didn't due to the time we needed to arrive at the airport. Check-in was flawless. The young gentlemen at the desk wore suit type of apparel, not a shirt and khaki type of "uniform" so that lent a nice air to the lobby. The lobby is very pretty with a modern decor. There is a small bar in the lobby but, again, since we were departing so early, we didn't avail ourselves of the opportunity. The gentleman advised us of the shuttle process and made our reservation for the early morning shuttle. Understand that you do NOT leave your vehicle on the premises. You take your care to Airline Parking which is VERY close to the hotel. You can see it from the side parking lot of the hotel. We checked in, unloaded our luggage, drove our vehicle to Airlines Parking and hopped one of the shuttles who delivered us back at the hotel entrance. We did this around 7:30 or so and it worked out very nicely.

The room is, as you would expect from the name of the hotel, a suite. There is an L-shaped couch, coffe table, and desk area that is separated from the sleeping area by a wall of frosted glass. The television was a flat panel and was viewable (but on an angle) from both areas. In the couch area there is a microwave, coffee and tea supplies, and a small frig.

The bathroom consisted of two separate rooms. One contained a nice, clear glass door shower and counter w/one sink and the other contained the toilet and a very small corner sink. Both had pocket doors which was a nice space savor.

The bed was comfortable and the linens appeared to be fresh. I thought the room was a little cold and has happy to discover an extra blanket in the closet. The closet also contained an iron and board.

We left too early for the breakfast so can't provide any information other than that at 5:00 am the coffee was ready and there were at least bagels and muffins for the folks who had to slip out early. The lady who was staffing the breakfast area even offered to give me a baggie to put my muffin in so that I didn't have to wrap it in a napkin. It was something she noticed and acted on and I thought that was great.

I am going to say, for us, it was a good value and would, in fact, recommend it to any of my friends or relatives. If there were any complaints I suppose I could say that it was a little odd that when we left to take our care to the parking lot the desk staff were sitting in the lobby chairs watching televsion. To some this might seem a little unprofessional but I didn't really care. I'm just sayin'....

“Second Stay Just As Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We have stayed at this location twice overnight before flying out of Detroit. Both stays have been very good. Spacious, clean rooms. We feel safe while at this hotel and the lobby and exterior are clean and comfortable. Short skip across the road to the airport parking. The room rate and parking for one week are very comparable price wise. The breakfast food is decent yet typical of hotel breakfast. Adequate by all means. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are much bigger than average. This would be our choice again if flying out of Detroit.

“Good value, clean rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Hotel is very convenient to airport and directly across from Airlines Parking. Thier Park and Fly uses Airlines so very handy.

Rooms are clean, fresh and well equipped. Rooms are a good size with good work area.

Staff was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast was simple but a reasonable selection.

“fabulous hotel - amazing rates!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We were at this location in October 2011 for an overnight stay, as we had an early flight the next morning. I had never stayed at a Springhill before, but the reviews were really great and it is a Marriott. We were able to find an fantastic deal for stay, park and fly on the hotel website; the rate was so amazing that I actually called the hotel directly to make sure that was rate! We stayed with 2 friends that were flying out with us, so 4 adults in the room. When we arrived, the check-in process was fast and friendly. The clerk explained quite clearly about what we needed to do for the park and fly the next morning, and was helpful on giving us tips on where to park and timetables.

Our room was very spacious, updated and modern! One extremely great detail is that there is a separate room for the shower and the toilet! So if one person is showering, you can still use the bathroom as it is in two separate rooms!!! A very nice feature when sharing accomodations with friends, not family. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and very close to the airport. We decided to take a walk and get a bite to eat, and there was quite a bit to choose from in walking distance.

The next morning there was no issue with parking the car and using the shuttle to the airport as it was across the street. On our return, the shuttle was right where they said and very quickly we were taken right back to our vehicle. I can't say enough about this great location and price. WELL worth it. We didn't make use of the food or other parts of the facility, but I am sure it was great as well. This will be the only place we stay when flying out of DTW!!!

Room Tip: Check the website directly for great deals on stay, park & fly!!

“park, sleep and fly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

During a recent trip we spent a night at this wonderful hotel. Excellent bedroom size, wonderful breakfast (starts at 5pm) and even a cozy bar. They have an agreement with airlines parking for 8 nights. Real a great deal overall. We will be back soon!

Room Tip: Away from elevators and vending
