Recently returned from a one night stay at the Embassy Suites, Detroit Metro in Romulus. I must say that I'm quite pleased that we decided to stay here while waiting for a next day flight home on our return fom Puerto Vallarta. Shuttle pick up at the airport was convenient and problem free. Our arrival was late in the evening and we missed the Manager's Reception so I can't comment on that, but the 8600 Lounge was open and serving full menu till 11pm and drinks till midnight. Food was good and reasonably priced. There is also a cafe serving assorted pastries and Starbucks coffee. Made to order breakfast in the morning was wonderful and complimentary making this a real bargain. The 2 room suite assigned to us was on the first floor and was very nice with a patio that we never used because of the season.The rooms were neat and clean and the king bed was very nice. I had a very good sleep. No outside room noise from other guests bothered us. Our flight home was later in the day and we were allowed a late check out (2pm) which was appreciated, and again used the shuttle back to the airport. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and like I said we're very pleased to have stayed here and will do so again on our next trip through Detroit.

You rarely find an embassy suites that is not awesome, and this one is no exception. Its the price of a holiday inn, and you have two huge room a kitchenette, couch. Also, free brekfast buffet thatis fantastic and free alchol from 5-7. It was great

My son's hockey team stayed at this hotel surprisingly "luxurious" hotel. Excellent location off the highway. Each evening there was a Manager's reception with free cocktails and munchies. The continental breakfast went far beyond the typical continental breakfast with fresh omelets made to your liking and a wide variety of other breakfast foods. The snack bar also had some very good food at very reasonable prices. We stayed in the "suite" which had a pull out sofa (which could have used with a new mattress!!), a desk, flat screen TV and a little mini fridge and microwave. In the bedroom, there were 2 comfy beds and another flat screen TV. The shower had great pressure and there were no hot water issues. There were 6 of us in this room and it was perfect. With the few amount of times I interacted with the staff, I found them to be very friendly and willing to help and it was never an issue trying to find someone to help you. They even gave us a complimentary "party room" on our first evening. Definitely recommend this hotel !!

I arrived late from Chicago and overnighted at the Embassy Suites before traveling farther afield in the morning. I was picked up at the airport by a member of the hotel staff who also checked me in when we arrived at the hotel. I was impressed by the efficency of the operation and the friendliness of the staff. The same staff member saw me later in the lobby and took the time to check if I had any problems and direct me to the meal options available in the hotel. The room itself was on the first floor and was very quiet. Pretty standard for an older embassy suites. The room did have a few maintenance issues that I reported to the hotel manager in the morning. He was very appreciative of the feedback and immediately sent someone to see to them before the next guest checked in. Overall a convenient location and great value for my overnight stay. Definitely a cut above some of the other properties around the airport and much quieter than I had expected.
