My wife and I stayed here for New Years Eve as a party was being hosted in the hotel. The rate we got was fairly reasonable considering the date. We were booked in a standard room with a king bed. The room itself was pretty run of the mill with the exception of the bathroom that was fairly large. The hotel itself looks nice and we liked the lounge area with bar and fireplace. We also liked the hotel's proximity to freeway access and restaurants.
While we didn't need it for this trip, we would fully expect a hotel such as this (outside of a major metropolitain downtown area) to offer internet/WiFi for free. Afterall, parking was offered for free. Perhaps this is just a byproduct of when this hotel was used more frequently by business travelers.
I have read other reviews from others complaining about noise from the highway or noise from the trains. We heard neither of these during our stay. However, we did have a room full of noisy girls in the room next to us at 4AM. While I expect there to be some loud drunk people at a New Years Eve party, I wouldn't expect them to continue to go all night long. I am generally a very sound sleeper and they even woke me up... and kept me up. We called down to the front desk and they said they would send someone to their room but I am not sure if that ever happened. In the meantime, we decided to turn our TV on to drown them out. The volume of the TV (which was set to comfortable listening level when we turned it off) was not even loud enough to overpower how loud these girls were. Either the sound insulation is not very good or these girls were VERY loud!!! Eventually they did quiet down and we were able to fall back to sleep. However, it was not one of our most restful nights.
