I spent one night here on business last week and like all of my past stays at this beautiful property I was not disappointed. I reserved a studio room and was given a complimentary upgrade to a gorgeous Master Bdrm suite! The suite had a full kitchen, dining area, living area with fireplace, and a balcony with views of Lake MI that was accessible from both the Living room and Bedroom. The full bathroom was beautiful and had a jetted tub and shower, double sink marble vanity, and a small window looking toward the lake. The half bath was adorable and had vintage inspired floor tiles. All of the furnishings were very nice and in excellent condition. The sheets were heavenly and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in! Coffee and Tea was provided en suite. The room rate was an incredible value! A full breakfast was also included in the rate. I can't wait to stay here again and hopefully next time it will be for fun and not work!

What a gem. Everything in the inn is beautiful. Service is outstanding. Food at Sagamore's was delicious. And the spa wa outstanding. Great value. Stayed in a master suite with lake view and it was very spacious and beautiful. Already planning to come back soon.

O.K., here's the deal.....flew 2000 miles to see my parents, drove cross the state to take the kids skiing, and decided to book my stay at the Inn at Bay Harbor. Property is beautiful, rooms are very nice. Staff, is fantastic. After skiing all day, we decided to pick up dinner at one of the two restaurants open on a very COLD winter night. After waiting approximately 45 minutes, none of the food we ordered was brought to the table. The server, a very sweet lady, lost out on what would have been a 20% gratuity on a $150 ticket because the kitchen couldn't deliver. We left frustrated and drove back into town to hit the drive-through at a local fast food garbage pit. Adding insult to injury, there were only six tables sitting in the restaurant of which three were already through eating dinner. Whoever oversees the management of the food and beverage portion of this very nice resort should be CANNED immediately. Frankly, I could care less if it's Tuesday in the middle of winter, if Marriott is going to put it's name on something, it should be first class no matter what........

I should preface this by stating we stayed in the cottages which are on the hotel grounds so this review will mainly center around the cottages. The cottages are all right on the water with some closer to the actual water than others. Not large but our two bedroom was big enough to accommodate six of us without feeling like we were stepping on each other. Two breakfasts were included in our rate each day and the food was very good. Ate dinner on the terrace one night and like many hotels I thought the food was just average. If you plan on swimming on the beach bring some beach shoes as it is pretty rocky as you wade into the water. However, great beach cabanas (no charge) and a great pool. Be sure to attend the bonfires at night where they have the makings to put together smores. And don't miss the sunsets which are stunning. Beware, when we stayed at this hotel is was prime season and the cottage was pricey. However, I think it was worth it for the location and what the hotel has to offer.
