I was there for a 2 day business trip and after a bunch of long flights and connections I finally reached at 2AM. Greeted with a warm smile and welcome I was shown to my room.
Rooms are arranged in buildings outside the main office/front desk where they encircle a parking lot in the middle.
It's a bit chilly esp this time of year while going outside to get to/from the front desk and the room.
The room on arrival was spotless clean, spacious with a kitchenette it was perfect! I slept for 4 hours the first night and 6 the second on a very comfortable bed. There's coffe, tea, coffe maker, stove microwave, LCD, wired complementary internet(approx 1Mb speed according to the speedtest.net) but pretty slow when actually using it, a desk, wall closet, couches and decent bathroom.
One thing you should watch out for is they do room service only for the first night then once every week unless you ask the front desk for daily room service.
The bathroom seemed pretty clean, it did have a leaky pipe but I was too tiered to even let it bother me during my sleep :)
Again, getting to the breakfast area at the front desk required walking through cold morning air to get to, which after a quick morning shower could be quite harmful.
They have an outdoor pool which looks like fun in the summer and a nice view of a lake in the back.
Breakfast was a bowl of apples, assortment of cereals, granola bars, milk, and then again the usual different coffe's and tea. One problem was that they didn't have anywhere for you to have breakfast so I would have to carry the stuff back to my room once again, in the cold air trying to balance the front door's card pass along with the room card and all the stuff to get to the room.
Front desk made my breakfast something worth enjoying with a friendly welcome and kind advice on where to go and what to do while picking out what to eat.
The Hotel is situated near 12 Oaks Mall which practically has everything in it and pretty much around it. One thing though, Novi, as I was told, used to be farmland and pedestrian walks are a scarcity, so either you get yourself ready for a hefty taxi bill for just simply getting you across intersections or you get yourself a car rental, cause trying to cross the road is truly an dangerous adventure there + unfortunately they don't have any area shuttles.
All together, the hotel is a excellent place to go until I finally reached home and found out that I had bed bugs in my bed it made me feel very disappointed.
I hope the other rooms don't have them but I guess if you do end up landing in room 127 watch out for the bed bugs!
