“Nice setting for a relaxing holiday on the countryside”

We rented the studio with kitchen for a week. It was a nice place to stay in a very beautiful environment, but upon our arrival the room wasn't really clean. The room wasn't dusted and the sheets did not smell fresh at all, although the owner assured me the room had been cleaned. The kitchen sink was rusty, and the provisions that other people before us had left there, had not been revised, since insects had settled f.ex. in the salt. We thought ourselves lucky to have brought most of our things ourselves. Because their had been a change of owners between the time we made the reservation for the room and our arrival, some conditions made with the previous owners were not respected. In all, we were satisfied with our stay there, but we would not return there for a second time. Also, we thought that the owners kept rather at a distance and were not really warm-hearted towards their clients. It seemed like money was the only thing they cared for.

“Simple pleasures”

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Chateau Mouillepied. It is an ideal location if you enjoy the countryside and is in reasonnable distance (preferably by car) to the sea and cities such as Saintes, Cognac, La Rochelle. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and of good dimensions. The breakfast room is superb and the morning buffet offered a very good selection of delicious foods.

Both for its charm and warm welcome, we recommend this B&B
