We booked a one-week holiday at Saint-Gery on the back of a French TV programme "Des Racines et Des Ailes". Although we had specifically asked for a separate room and bed for our 2.5 year old son what we got was a room without any curtains (owner believes children should not have curtains...), a derelict bed and cold room. He had to sleep with us most of the time. Breakfasts from 9 to 10 AM can't work when your kids wake up at 7-8...In addition they have no fruits or cereals whilst yogurts are not readily available. Children's entertainment is non-existent with facilities in derelict condition (swing with broken rope, etc.) No TVs available, not even in their library. Owners totally dismissive each time we tried to have things changed. Not helping with activities around hotel, especially on Mondays when almost all restaurants are closed. Did not allow us to store our son's medicine in their own fridge but only in wine fridge in library (temperature much higher than in a normal fridge). Endless list of complaints. Only the food is acceptable for dinner but far too expensive/stuffy with awful service. Clear bias/conflict of interest in feedback provided by some famous people in their "livre d'or" who happen to have their wines (at least 2 identified) sold in their menu or have the hotel in their guide (one famous French chef). We left in the middle of the stay but without any compensation (they charged us the whole amount 3 months before- prices are very very high too). Would avoid at all costs. Worst experience ever in a hotel.
