“Perfect mix of charm, location and hospitality.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2011

La Maison, located in the small village of Blauzac, was a great base for exploring Uzès and the surrounding areas. It was the perfect mix of charm, location and hospitality. The B&B is a beautiful, stone 18th century home. Within just a few minutes drive, you can be in the center of Uzès but at the end of the day, easily escape back to the peacefulness of Blauzac.

The owners, Christian and Pierre, were gracious hosts. Conversations with them were the highlights of our stay. They always inquired about how our day had been and happily offered suggestions for that evening or the next day.

The rooms were large, clean and had an eclectic decor offering a unique mix of old and new. (We actually discovered that La Maison is featured on the cover and within “French Home”, a design book by Josephine Ryan.)

Each day, we were offered the option of enjoying breakfast in the dining room or in the front garden (we always chose the garden). Because Blauzac sits on high ground, the garden of La Maison offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Overall, this was one of our favorite places to stay during our trip. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful - Perfect Hosts & Perfect Room, Service..... Lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2010

La Maison is lots of room for a couple, yet perfect as it was lovely to have lunch on the terrace. Rooms were clean, the library was a luxury, the breakfast amazing (we even requested a recipe!). I fully say stay there...

“Can't Wait to Go Back!”

My husband, 8 month old baby and I stayed here last summer and loved it. We stayed in Cuzco, which was like being in a palace, truly. We had amazing sweeping views of the entire area and our own private terrace. Our room, the rest of the maison and gardens looked like they were right out of a "World of Interiors" magazine. Pierre & Christian could not have been more gracious hosts - so helpful and charming! They were also very accommodating of our needs, which were greater since we were traveling with an infant. Our room was plenty big enough for a portable crib (which they kindly provided) and anything else we required they cheerfully provided. In short, we loved our stay at Maison du Blauzac and can't wait to go back!

“Charm in Provence”

Spent two days in Blauzac and had a great experience at La Maison. The house is really charming, typical stone building, interior decoration a strong point. The owners, Christian and Pierre, make you feel at home -- really. Breakfast served in the dining room adjoing their own kitchen; rooms have great views, conversation with them was a big plus. Lots of things to see in the nearby area. Great experience. We were in Blauzac to visit friends -- and ended up making new friends. Merci, Pierre et Christian, pour un séjour inoubliable !

“A dream property”

My daughter, my aunt and my mother stayed at this property for quite a while last December. We were visiting my sister who lives nearby, and what can I say... no offense to my sister, but I wish I was the one staying at La Maison!
The rooms are beautiful, so well appointed, so creative in the furnishings and so comfortable. The property is amazing, located by the church with beautiful views from the higher rooms.
The breakfast is incredible, such variety and a lovely environment.
As last but not least, the entire success of this place is due to the two amazing hosts and owners, Pierre and Christian, who made us feel like family. We are just dying to go back. They were so wonderful to all of us, it was one of the best experiences we had in France. Miss you guys!
