We booked ahead and had a pleasant old room looking down in to the courtyard, shower and WC a bit dated but clean enough. Agree the staircase is difficult with a large case but as the secure car park is at the rear advice is to take items needed to the room and lock the cases in the car.
Super meal, no complaints about quantity or quality and probably our third best dinner in three weeks travelling. Highlights were the langoustines in filoux pastry and ox tail terrine.
Good nights sleep, nice stroll to the river, buzzy bar by the bridge (mad keen on French rugby) so good for a pre dinner beer and a bit of entente with the locals in mid world cup. Only fault again was very sparse breakfast for 10 euros but (like many French hotels) perfect for Laughing Cow enthusiasts. NB Although still advertised the pool and delightful surrounding garden beyond the car park was closed from Sept 1.
