I stayed at the Hotel de Vougeot for 3 days in July with my two young daughters, on our way to North Burgundy for a canal cruise. Being a wine lover I wanted to take some time for visiting this 'must be there' area. I chosed the hotel looking mostly to TA reviews, and the result was indeed very good. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Burgundy looking for real rural atmosphere with a good price-to-value. The hotel is excellently positioned in the middle of the Cotes, so we could organize northward and southward trips quickly and easily, adapting to weather (we had one full day of heavy rain), different traveler's wishes and .... stamina. B&B service only - breakfast rich and fresh as we like - but no problem in getting staff help for nearby restaurant reservations. Lots of room space, nice atmosphere, great view to the Clos de Vougeot, the vineyards, and the fantastic Cote de Nuit. Alain at the front desk was very helpful providing hints / suggestions for nice non-usual trips around the area. He procured also bikes for all of us for a very pleasant cycle trip around the nearby villages across the most renowned Crus.
