“Superb”

We staid in the room Olivia which is perfect for a family, but we also visited the other rooms of the castle (because it is really a castle with beautifull halls and a splendid garden). The furnitures are fantastic. We took our breakfast in the balsony in front of the garden enjoying the jams, fromages and cakes. We really suggest this hotel for a lovely and relaxing holiday.

“Great stay at Le Clos des Tourelles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2008

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here on the way to Paris, from the South of France, if only for one night. I must admit the towns of Sennecy and the nearby Tournus are a little weird, however, you will have no problem finding a Michelin rated restaurnt in Tournus. We arrived around 6pm, quite tired and did not want to go out for dinner. The lovely woman who manages the Chateau(I don't remember her name) did not speak any english and we could barely understand each other, however, she managed to understand we were hungry. We thought maybe she would come up to our beautiful room with a few pieces of bread and maybe some wine. No, she brings up an amazing platter of cheeses, fruits, crepes, hard boiled egg, french bread and wine, witha full table setting for two. Wow, just what we wanted! We sat on our huge balcony enjoying our night along with the tasty food and wine. Voila! Our room and the Chateau itself were simply beautiful as I have added pictures as well. Enjoy your stay.

“Pleasant one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2008

We stayed here one night en route from Paris to Switzerland. We had a very large comfortable room for two adults and one child on an upper floor that had a remodeled bathroom. The room was very quiet.

We had the breakfast outside on the terrace. While the food was ok, the setting was great, as was the service by the Owner. The Owner of the Chateau was very nice.

We arrived at dusk, and our 13 year old daughter thought the Chateaux was spooky. We had fun with this, and it made the stay more interesting. The Chateaux itself was a nice change from the typical hotel.

There is no elevator, so you need to carry your luggage up stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but could be for others.

Overall, we would recommend this Chateux. We would stay here again.

“Wonderful Find”

Me & my husband were driving through France on our way to Provence. We enjoy "winging it" through the country without booking, However, on the day we discovered Le Clos we were begining to worry after having found several hotels which were fully booked and some which were awful! We saw the sign for Le Clos & drove up without much hope. I can only say that theis is one of the greatest finds we have ever made. Great welcome, wonderful grounds, superb bedroom & lovely breakfast.
We were disappointed when we found out that they did not serve dinner but Madame was happy to recommend a restaurant in the village (& to book it for us) which turned out to give us one of the best meals we have ever had. I can recommend this hotel 100%.

“Wonderful Staff & Food”

We only stayed here for one night, however, we are at present planning our next visit!!
We stayed in 'Georgina', which at 110 Euros, we felt was very reasonable. The grounds are beautiful, with a nice swimming pool. The staff are very welcoming & all speak English. There is an honesty bar and very pleasant lounge and terrace areas. There is also a study with internet access.
The food is fabulous and very reasonably priced. We had three choices per course. I had Escargots de Bourgogne, Boeuf Bourguignon, followed by Creme Brulee, included was a very decent half bottle of wine, all for 30 Euros.
Breakfast was simple, the croissants are excellent!
They also cater for large functions.
