We stayed int the Chateau de Brelidy for two nights in June 2007. The Chateau is lovely and in an imposing situation. We received a very nice welcome. We had not planned to stay there so we were a last minute booking. We were offered the suite which was the only available room. (117 euros per person per night). The suite was made up of the old chapel and a room above which was up 29 steps. Do not book the suite if you have any health problems. The sitting room area in the chapel could not be used as it was very damp and smelt very strange. The bedroom itself was very nice with lovely views but it could not be called a suite. Breakfasts were very good but we did not enjoy the food on either evening. In fact my husband and I felt that it was some of the worst food we had eaten in France. Choice was very limited, it was not well cooked and the presentation of the food was unusual. We were prepared to pay the cost of the suite for a bit of luxury for two nights but we felt that we did not receive value for money at all.
