Having visited la cote de granit rose (which is just breathtaking) for the first time, my partner and I wanted to make our stay extra special by finding somewhere really stunning to eat. After asking around and trawling the net for an hour or so we decided upon the restaurant at Chateau Brelidy... By golly are we glad we did, it was simply divine.
They have just recruited a new head chef who has only been with them a month so we just had to sample his 'suggestion du jour' - a fillet of sea bass with a chorizo crust and grilled vegetables. The presentation was like something out of 'master chef the professionals' and it tasted just as good as it looked. The fish was cooked perfectly and the balance of flavours was magical. I cannot wait to see the new menu he proposes for next year, I'm not sure I can wait until April! For dessert we had a moelleaux au chocolat which was like little mouthfuls of heaven, the best moelleaux I have ever tasted.
We would definitely recommend eating here and quickly... before the chef earns his first Michelin star and the prices rocket! We honestly wouldn't be surprised and we cannot wait to try his other dishes.
Criticisms: nothing, there was nothing to complain about food wise, but perhaps they should have a wine waiter, that way you could be sure to choose a bottle that really compliments the dish.
