Nice place to stay with parking and breakfast included.

We stayed here the night before going to Mont St. Michele. The lobby looks really contempory but when you get to your room it's scary. Very dirty. We checked the beds for bugs...didn't see anything but the whole night I wondered. The carpet had all sorts of stains and the bathroom was horrible. I almost took a shower with socks on it was so bad. The shower head wasn't attached to the wall so my husband had to hold it up while I washed out my hair. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. The did have a breakfast that was comparable with most of the places we've stayed so I'd say that was a plus but seriously wouldn't stay there again for the life of me. Would rather sleep in the car.

We booked this hotel at the last minute from Normandy. First of all, don't miss Avaranches - it is so picturesque, quaint and full of history. A really lovely town. The hotel was just fine - it was clean, the rooms were not too small (though that odd two-room bathroom set up). The staff were what made the stay great - they were so pleasant and helpful, and the included breakfast, though not extensive, was tasty. This hotel is only rated as a two star but it's one of those ones that you get a good deal on and ends up being a really pleasant surprise. Definite value for money here!

a clean and pleasant hotel with friendly staff and fair sized rooms. breakfast was included in our stay and the staff ensure you are never without coffee, croissants etc. free parking is provided and there is no 'curfew' to come in whenever you want. the bar shut a little earlier than we would have liked (2230) which although not a major aspect of the hotel, we found ourselves getting back quite late from exploring normandy so a nice glass of 'vin rouge' would have been great when we got in! i would say this hotel is great for 1 or 2 nights but no more and mainly if you are interested in going to mont st michel. the other main places of interest are bit of a drive away so you are not really in the heart of things here. we felt it was a bit pricey for what we got and from what else was on offer in the area(75 euros per night which was suppsed to be a cheao deal but is actually the advertised price). our shower flooded on the first day which seemed to be a design flaw-if you aim it towards the wall and not on max power its fine!!. all in all not a bad little hotel.
