I spent a week at Le Chevrefeuille in July in the Bread Room. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. As soon as you make that turn into Pechboutier, drive past the sunflower fields, and retieve your luggage via "Le Bagage" wagon....you step into another world - the world of Sara and Ian. Atmosphere is relaxing, beautiful, and the amenities in the room and on the property are too numerous to mention. Sara and Ian have thought of everything that a guest or family could want or need. The breakfast was outstanding with a variety of breads, cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses, etc. and homemade jam. The property has a pool and rooms are furnished with WiFi. As far as location, it is ideal for all the beautiful villages of the Dordogne - Beynac, Les Eyzies, La Roque-Gageac, etc. It is a wonderful base to explore the region. Come to Le Chevrefeuille - base there, explore the region and then come "home" to tranquility, beauty and wonderful walks. Lots of surprises if you walk on the roads behind the property. Visit Sara and Ian's paradise - and when you do, be sure to ask Adam about his chickens. I very rarely return to my chambres d'hotes as I'm always venturing into new areas of France but Le Chevrefeuille is most definitely one I will return to. Can't wait to return.
