What a really wonderful romantic place to stay. We felt like houseguests not paying customers....all the the rooms and suites we saw were different and very comfotably furnished with stunning views of the grounds and the river. We chose an excellent large very well furnished suite on the ground floor with a dual aspect (flooding the suite with daylight) and great bathroom.
If I had to complain about anything it would be that the toiletries could be a little more generous but maybe this is a rather churlish comment
The owners Georges Dambier and his niece are charming.
Breakfast was very good. There is no hotel restaurant but George booked us an excellent restaurant just 2 mins drive from the hotel. When we returned to our room after dinner we were surprised and delighted that our room had been nicely "turned down" and towels replaced.
We will return and regret that we were unable to stay more than one night.
It is not a place for children or teenagers and a car is essential.
