“Clean, comfortable, but a burden for breakfast”

I am a hilton honors diamond member and I stay at a lot of hilton properties. This was my first stay at the Hampton Inn in Muskegon, and I had a nice stay, except for my experience in breakfast. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful, the gentleman in the evening not so much, but still I felt welcome. My room was clean and comfortable, other than some kids in the hallway the night was pretty quiet. I could not blame some kids running around at 8:30, it was still early, and they were quiet by the time I was ready for bed. When I went for breakfast in the lobby the next morning, the breakfast host said good morning and seemed pleasant, until I let him know there was no waffle mix, or milk, or eggs. It was 9:30 in the morning and I was under the impression that this hampton inn was like any other, with breakfast running until 10. He gave me a dirty look, said okay thanks in an irritated tone, and went to the kitchen. He never did fill the eggs or waffle mix, but did fill the milk pitchers. I was dissappointed because that was the only part of my stay that was not enjoyable. I also noticed in the evening when I came down to warm up some food I had, that the breakfast area wasnt very clean. There was still waffle batter on the waffle mix holder, and encrusted food on the tool used to get the waffles out of the waffle maker. The microwave was also very dirty on the inside. I am almost glad that I did not eat breakfast because of the unclean conditions much later in the evening.

“Clean, good location”

The motel is located near any store you need to go to! It would be a great to stay here and get all of your Christmas shopping done! Grand Haven was only 15 minutes away.
Our room was clean, comfortable beds, the shower was very large. Breakfast had a few hot items and the regular motel items....nothing that you would go back and get seconds of.

“A Good Hampton Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2010

A Good Hampton Inn, not the most convenient to other dining spots, but it met all the standards you expect for a Hampton Inn, clean, Wi-Fi, Breakfast. Was a little hard for us to find, but that was in large part due to the direction we came in from.

“Great place to stay for the whole family!”

The hotel was very nice and clean too! All staff members were curteous and polite. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Breakfast is awesome! They have everything from hot food to fruit to cerea and waffles as well as bagels and muffins. The pool is a little small for the number of rooms they have, but it is nice.

“Has it's good points.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2010

This hotel room I had was very pricey. I am not happy that they would not give me my AAA discount...I pay alot for that discount and then don't get it? I will be writing AAA about this hotel. It was clean, but the air conditioning unit was so loud that it was hard to sleep. Had to turn it off and then the room became way too stuffy. The pool is very small, not big enough for alot of families with small children who stay there when it is rainy and nothing to do. The hot breakfast was good. But all in all, for this price, I would expect to stay at a 5 star hotel.
