During my tour of Nicaragua for my goodwill mission for Operation Smile and SOS Children's Villages. This by far is the best location to stay in Leon. It's close to many historic landmarks, breathtaking gardens, museums, lots of scenic photos etc.

I felt like I was taken back into time to another Era, but the rooms still had all the essentials.

I think the location is haunted, which made it even more thrilling/exciting. It was once a nuns convent.

I even signed the guest book. The food provided was very well presented and fresh, with variety.

I could have spent an entire day just exploring the hotel. I would love to return next time I'm in Leon and take family/friends with me.

It's very quiet which is nice.

Great Hotel, perfectly located just 3 blocks away from Central Park, a place where you can relax. Great staff starting from the Bell Buttons, front desk executives, maids and restaurant staff. Everyone always offering a great smile and willing to help.

The restaurant was no exception, I chose the "Criollo Steak", 8 oz of a real good steak sided with the best gallo Pinto that I tasted in Nicaragua.

There's no doubt that I will come back to this hotel in case the destiny takes back to Leon.

Thanks,

When you walk into the lobby, the view of the courtyard is very impressive. It has beautiful flowers, palm trees, and excellently manicured shrubs. The room was spacious, but not very luxurious. I had wifi connection issues the entire time I was there. The breakfast buffet was the best I had on my entire trip. Made-to-order eggs, all kinds of breads, hot foods, fruits, juices, yogurt, cereal - many choices. It is in a good location within walking distance of many of León's highlights.

Our family spent three days here in December and all had only positive things to say. From the setting, with the lush and well-cared-for plantings, to the lovely rooms to the delicious breakfast overlooking the gardens, all contributed to making our visit a delightful time. Even the more cynical travelers in the family concurred.

Did not actually live there, but had a private apartment in León, and used to go up to El Convento almost daily for the air-con and their crazy good Limonada Imperial. The staff who work there are incredibly polite and service-minded, and after being there for 3,5 months (I'm not kidding, I basically lived there!), they were just as nice the first visit as the last visit. Do you hear that Denis, Francisco, Carlos, Auxmar, Ariel and Hernan? You do a terrific job!

You can hang out in the "living-room", or sit in the restaurant area, sipping on a limonade. The food isn't that good to be honest, but it really depends on the chef; sometimes it was great, sometimes I could have done it better myself. The coffee also isn't that good, but they have air-con, and the hotel in itself is just gorgeous, with nice, big couches and dozens of rocking chairs (real nicaraguan). They also have decent Wifi, which is something you'll come to appreciate greatly when staying in Nicaragua.

One of the best places for relaxing and having a drink in the evenings in León, if you're more into conversing and a glass of good rum, and not dancing and lukewarm Toña.
