I arrived Arkanchi hotel as some Spanish girls I shared taxi from Bukhara had booking there. Good: The hotel is right in front of the old town, pretty modern and well decorated. Rooms are spacey and clean. It's great value for 7,000 som a night (with official rate $40 per night but with blackmarket rate about $28).
Bad: The mattress is too soft that I had strange dreams at night. It's too hot without air conditioner at night but too cold with airconditioner. (tried to control temperature but it was hard).. The service was almost non-existent and breakfast was pretty basic compared to all other hotels I stayed in Uzbekistan. So it depends on your preference really!

The location is great: it's inside the old city wall and a minute walk to Kalta minaret.

We paid 40 $ per night per room (two persons, including breakfast). The room was clean, but the interior was tasteless compared to amazing B&Bs we stayed in Bukhara and Samarkand. Bed mattress was quite cheap that you can feel the springs on your back. The walls were thin; we could hear the neighbors and the people talking loud at the reception desk. Breakfast was nice, but more "western".

It's a reasonable hotel in a great location with adequate rooms. It's definitely not bad, but there may be better places for similar price.

This hotel has unique in terms of its location and price conditions. It's place is relatively close to the heart of Khiva, Ichan Kala. The rooms are clean and furniture is new. The staff were all very attentive .The decor and rooms were amazing. We had a great time in this warm and cute hotel.

Friendly and attentive staff, nice location, cute shower curtain, good breakfast, what else would a girl want?
