On the positive side, room was clean, bathroom, while very small was clean and adequate, pool and hot tub were very good. I booked through hotels.com and got, I believe the cheapest rate at a hotel in Mt. Pleasant with breakfast and a pool for that date. Surprisingly, they were NOT listed on the Baymont.com website. When contacting them via email, they said they were having website issues.

On the negative side, the mattress was fairly worn, especially the side of the bed towards the nightstand. The breakfast, while adequate had very little variety and the do-it-yourself waffles were not good at all.

All and all, adequate, especially given the price.

Although Mt Pleasant has many hotels, this is one of the better ones, especially for the price. If you can't afford to stay at the Soaring Eagle, the Baymont is the next closest and by far the best price. There are other chain hotels on the south western side of town, closer to CMU but the Baymonts location is also convenient to Bob Evans and other resturants along M 20 and near the Pohlcat Golf Course. This Baymont is clean, comfortable, nice color tones and good biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereals and baked goods. With an on call shuttle, friendly staff and a nice coffee station near the elevator, you get the value here.

I stayed at the Baymont Inn Mount Pleasant 2 times for business in September 2011. I had never stayed at a Baymont before, so I was a little leary, but it turned out to be a nice stay. The beds are fairly comfortable, the rooms have ceiling fans, and the breakfast is decent. The breakfast includes cereal, oatmeal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fuit, and juices. The rooms were also pretty quiet, despite what other reviews say (but I did stay only on weeknights). The downsides- the air conditioner in the room I stayed in during my second visit was pretty loud and the towels are not soft at all. Check in and Check out was fast. If travelling to the area again in the future, I would definately consider staying here again.

I stayed here with my family for four nights. We were always gone during the day, and all we needed was a place to sleep and a good breakfast.

It's refreshing to see people dressed nicely and acting like they enjoy their work, and the desk personnel were very professional. No visible tattoos, well-spoken, eager to help, and able to concentrate on the customer instead of the computer. Special thanks to Tessie, who checked us in and out.

Breakfast was good, and hot, as was the coffee no matter what time we got it.

Even though the hotel was busy on the weekend, it was quiet and we slept well. Everything in the room worked, too.

You can get a 20% discount at the IHOP restaurant next door, but we saw one of the cooks arrive for work one morning and decided to stick with the hotel food.
