“Beautiful setting and lovely rooms but a resting on it's laurels.”

Too far from Etosha though a lovely setting. It was out of season when we stayed here and service wasn't great though staff were friendly. Rooms were huge and bathrooms excellent, but mini-bar only had one bottle of beer and room safe didnt work. Food was poor with very limited choice. Game drives were included in our package but started half an hour late and we almost ran out of fuel on the way to Etosha - freezing cold in an open vehicle.

“Stunning and relaxing accomodation in an adventurous wildlife environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 April 2011

We arrived after a long trip (we came from the Zebra Kalahari Leading lodge) at the Epacha Game Lodge and Spa. We got our key and were brought with the caddy to our very cosy looking chalet. Once we opened the door, we couldn't believe our eyes. A nicely decorated room, a very inviting huge bed and a big balcony with a stunning view over the hills of the reserve. The bathroom and outdoor shower just completed the picture. High end material, luxury in every detail...

We refreshened ourselves and went to the restaurant for a quality dinner. The five courses were delicious every single day.
The Belgian Chef Louis (that has apparently worked as a sous-chef for several years in a 3 michelin star restaurant)has really implemented an amazing menu at Epacha and Eagle tented lodge.
We ate game every day because it was so tasty and well prepared.

The first morning we went on a game drive in the Epacha reserve. We were the two of us and the ranger in the large game vehicle. It had rained a lot, so the roads were quite slippery and very muddy. The ranger showed us some rally/drifting skills (which was pretty exciting) and got us through to the "vlaktepost", a stunning large plain in between the hills with a waterhole. Because there was water everywhere, animals couldn't be spotted easily and wouldn't really bother visiting the waterhole. However, after a few minutes, I spotted 10 giraffes a few metres from us. An amazing sight... Oryx, black-faced impalas, elands, kudus, tsessebe, hartebeest, zebras also crossed our path in that particular game drive. But, we were waiting and looking for the so-called black rhinos the Lodge claimed they had walking around. The ranger really tried his best to show them to us (as he had seen fresh tracks in the mud pools in the morning), but unfortunately we didn't get that lucky.
Too bad, but we were satisfied as it was a very nice experience.

The poolside area with bar has an infinity pool with an amazing view (we could even spot giraffes from here) and the spa is top-notch. Me and my girlfriend had a very romantic and relaxing massage and went into the jacuzzi afterwards to enjoy a sundowner.

We went on our own to Etosha the day after, which is 40 km from the lodge, and loved it. It's such a beautiful, quiet reserve and we saw a lot of animals. Lions, elephants,... which was amazing. The lodge is also building a new road over the hills to make a shortcut to Etosha and only be a few km away from the reserve once you come on the main road. We will definitely have to come back to experience that. :)

Unfortunately, our fantastic journey came to an end.
It has been a mindblowing experience and we were very well received by the staff. It was a stay with no problems or difficulties at all. Thank you very much Epacha Game Lodge and Spa. You are worth every penny!

“It was the most beautiful place we've ever been!”

Epacha Game lodge and Spa was our last stop in Namibia.
We loved the food and the wine there.
Our son had a massage for his birthday and said : " I met the hands of God"
We also had two gamesdrives. One in Epacha and one in Etosha.
The sundowners also were amazing! The staff brought us every night to the most beautiful places. Champagne never tasted so good as on these evenings.
One evening they prepared a real bushdiner! Everything was there in the bush : tables, chairs, winecard, bbq, name it and it was there! And lots and lots of candles, .... You have to see that to believe it...
We will go back !!!

“Best relaxing place in Namibia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2011

We stayed for a week in Namibia, in Epache Game Lodge and Spa. It was an incredible week.
We stayed in the presidential suite. Very beautiful room and a wonderful view. We even saw a giraffe from our room.
The staff is wonderful. At one point we were the only guests in the hotel. It was like we were in paradise. The food is very good, fresh from the garden and meat from the animals in the park.

We did a lot of activity's:
- Game ride adventure in the own park: we saw three black rhino's (they are endangered species).
- Clay pigeon shooting
- Bush dinner (see picture): it was amazing!!! So beautiful!
- We went to Etosha National Park. Amazing. Saw giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras...
- ...

“Happy honeymooners!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2011

My husband and I stayed at Epacha Lodge in December for our honeymoon. WOW. We were treated like royalty from the second we walked in to the lodge. We were, as a surprise, upgraded to a presidential suite. The view from there was absolutely stunning, like nothing I have ever seen before. Your staff and management are amazing. Always smiling, always happy, always helpful… congratulations! We will be coming back!!
