“Stay Elsewhere!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

The rooms are nice, but the clientele/surroundings are terrible. I stayed two days for a work trip, the first morning I was woken up by a lady screaming "CALL 911 HE IS RAPING ME!" followed shortly by a door slamming, the girl laughing and another door slam. I returned to my room after a meeting at 8pm the next night, and there were 5-10 thuggish looking people sitting around the lobby with no shirts on, eyeing me as I walked in. The hotel has no food, a few of the places they have menus for refused to deliver there. At 2:30am on the second night of the stay, the phone in the room was ringing off the hook, it was a desk representative asking if the room was full because someone was wanting a switch. More door slamming and an overall lack of sleep. If you are in town for business and need a good nights sleep, I recommend staying elsewhere!

“Anniversary Get Away...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

My husband and I decided to take off for a night to celebrate our anniversary. We decided that Detroit would be a nice little get away. As an employee of another hotel brand, I stopped at a location to get an employee discount. I walked in and was treated as if I was dirt and I was not "good enough" to stay there. Needless to say I was very frustrated, I said screw ths discount I'd rather pay a little more and betreate like a human being. After drivin in circles, in not the nicest neighborhoods, I finally saw the Comfort inn. I was a little weiry at first, with bad experiences at other locations, but I was tired and decided to stop. Much to my suprise, this hotel was very nice. I stayed in a room with a kitchenette, te room was very spacious. The bathroom ws enormous, with a great tub, amazing shower, and even a scale. The tvs are a lot bigger than expected, and the beds.... awesome. It was like sleeping in heaven. The girl at the desk was super sweet and very accomodating. I didn't catch her name but she was awesome!

“Nice room, but noisy!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We were pleased with the room itself, very roomy and clean. The bathroom was roomy & nice too, but the fiberglass shower/tub area was a little scary - creaked in the middle as if it didn't have any support under it. We';re not big people either so we were just hoping it didn't crack while we were using it. The one pitfall was the noise. The room next door to us and the two room directly across from us were constantly slamming the doors as they went in and out, which rattled everything in our room - including the pictures above the bed! The night person was not very friendly either. We had been to a concert and returned hungry around 11:00 p.m. We asked if there were any restaurants in the area that would still be open. He simply pointed around the corner to a dark cubby area that had no light (we had to use the "flashlight" app on our phones to see) where there were flyers from mostly pizza places. Luckily, the pizza place we called was very courteous & even delivered it straight to our room. If you're ever in this area and need a late-night meal, we would recommend the Pizza Kitchen - it was very tasty and reasonably priced!

Room Tip: I would suggest the top floor (3rd fl) so you don't hear the people above you. We asked for a r...

“Nice place”

We stayed here for an event at Motor City Casino. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were beautifully decorated. It's a nice hotel and very well maintained. It's about a 5 minute drive from downtown so it worked out perfectly!

“Very nice place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

I was a little nervous since this hotel is a little "off the beaten path" of most of the hotels in the Dearborn area. I was very pleasantly surprised with just how nice this Comfort Inn & Suites was. The whole place looks new and is well kept. I stayed in a King Suite, and the room was very large and modern. It was nice to have a separate sitting area just inside the door, with the bedroom area in the usual place. Having a supplied kitchen area was also helpful. Although I didn't use the stove, I did take advantage of the kitchen supplies.

The modern furniture wasn't what I would consider the most comfortable, but it was new & in good shape. Just not my taste. (See the pictures.) But the two flat-screen TVs were much appreciated. There were many extra features which made the place seem a little more classy, but still reasonably priced (bathroom scales, marble counters). And overall my impression was that the whole place is clean & well taken care of. Complimentary breakfast included the usual things including the waffle maker. My stay was mid-week, so it was very quiet and the breakfast room wasn't very busy.

There's not much to speak of in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but I went a couple of miles down the road for Chinese food (Canton Inn) which was very good. Overall I was very impressed with my stay for the price and would not hesitate to stay here again. Extra bonus for the room keys using proximity sensor key cards (no need to swipe the card), and windows that open. It's not first class, but is a nice place and a notch above most places for the money.
