This hotel was so clean and friendly. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had an interior room. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet, we even had room by elevator and did not hear any traffic or doors slamming. I wanted to stay at Grand Hotel, but stayed her and enjoyed a lunch buffet at the Grand, what a savings! Fudge on the bed was so nice for a late night snack..

We return here yearly. First of all, it's open in October (many island inns are closed for the season by October). Secondly, some of our group members have mobility issues..Main Street has an elevator and is directly across the street from Shepler's Ferry. Thirdly, it is spotlessly clean and service staff courteous and efficient. Fourthly, the beds are so comfy (better then the Grand, according to our 14 women). No wonder, Main Street is the only Mackinac Island Hotel listed in my cell phone!

My wife & I brought my parents here for their 50th wedding anniv. Rooms are comfortable, well laid out. we all had one bedroom suites overlooking main street so it was very nice. They have a modern elevator so getting to floors is not a problem. we have stayed at the bed & breakfast inns on the island and they are very quaint but this was a nice change. And being in town made it easy for my elderly parents to get around. Some firmer pillows like the Hilton Hotels would be great. Also, couch cushions need firmer foam. Very minor items but it would not detract us from staying here again. Hopefully for our 50th.

This is really one of a kind hotel. Very clean, nicely furnished. They were very friendly. Good location. Just make sure to get a room to the front. On the backside is a horse stable that can smell pretty bad if you have your window open. The room service is outstanding. We will definitely come back.
