After several trips to this hotel, I feel like I need to share with the world, this wonderful hotel. It is the very bestof everything a hotel should be. Customer service, character, charm, and making the customer feel special.

The hotel itself has old world chram, elegance, and that warm and homey feeling we all crave. You can be as active or solitary as you want to be here. The service is wonderful, warm and inviting.

The rooms are small and cosy, but we LOVE that! The upstairs jacuzzi is awesome!
We've never had a moment where we weren't cared for from the moment we book until after we are home, including a Christmas card!

We simply love to stay here, and will return over and over......because it's simply the best!

We stayed here in August 2011 and found it to be a cute, smallish hotel. Best features are the light breakfast served eveyr morning and the large hot tub on a patio in the central part of the hotel. Caution: rooms a VERY small and if you need a lot of space for your "stuff," make sure you upgrade to the biggest rooms available. We stayed in a room that was only slightly larger than our closets at home ... but we didn't care because we spent most of our time out of the room. Hotel is centrally located on the main downtown street which made it convenient to everything, inlcuding all the horse-drawn cabs. Very charming island to visit and fiferent than anything else we have ever experienced.

Stayed in September 2011, thought the experience here was much better overall than the Grand Hotel - closer to things to do, a fraction of the price, and I felt like I got an incredible amount of value for the money paid for our stay... I think they could charge a lot more just by adding a few amenities, service items, and small touches...

This is the second time we have gone up to the island, Mackinac, with our group of friends and we now always stay at this place. Since we have been in a larger group they give us a very good off season rate. Walk ins might even be better. We all got very nice historical rooms, ours was upgraded to a deluxe over looking the spa pool. The hot tub spa pool is set at a temp where you can just sit and relax, or do some aerobics for a long, long time. It even has a waterfall. The surrounding gardens are beautiful with chairs and pool towels. Rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable.But mind you , it is an old historical place with decor to match which we find very nice. Front desk was very polite as was all staff. The $3 breakfast for guests can not be beat anywhere. It is hot and plentiful with a good variety and all you can eat with coffee and juice included. It is right across the street from the Arnold boat line docks and restaurants and shops and close to the fort and Marina. Very convenient, but then you are never far from anything there anyway. We will continue to go there I am sure.
