My family had to travel to Lansing for a ceremony and had to find a room for that evening. I searched using various web programs and read reviews on several hotels. I chose the Red Roof Inn West Lansing as many stated the rooms weren't exceptional but they were clean. I tried booking 2 rooms directly with the front desk by phone and the computers were down but promised when they were up my reservation would be reviewed for accuracy as I decided to book on-line. We arrived and were told the reservations were for the following night but were quickly taken care of. I received 2 room keys and randomly gave one to my parents and kept one for myself. There room had newer carpet, new bedding and was brighter and smelled clean. My room had old dirtly carpet with an obvious carpet patch at the door, old bed covers, lighting that would'nt stay on and smelled of cat urine. So I guess this may be why some reviews were positive like room 109, and some were not like 111.

Stopped in Lansing after driving from KY. The desk clerk very helpful and accomodating. Rooms spacious and comfortable. No breakfast served and not near any restaurants, but fridge and micro available in room.

I've stayed at many Red Roof Inns all over Michigan, Indiana& Florida. I used to live in East Lansing for over ten years so I know the area well. This is an excellent area for shopping, dinning & has easy access to I-69 and I-96. I have stayed there well over one hundred times over six years. That shows how much I enjoy this place. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The rates are great even compared to other Red Roof Inns. The room are nicely decorated and always clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this property for a stay in the Lansing area.

This motel was clean, a great value for the price and we loved the room decor. The front desk was always extremely helpful and the manager seemed to go above and beyond (from our experience at other motels) to personally insure that we had a positive experience at her location. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting Lansing!
