Getting a cab from the Lansing airport to this hotel was no easy feat -- most of the cabbies I asked didn't want to take a solo traveler to this location and instead sought groups of passengers heading toward the university. (By the way, how is it cabbies are allowed to do this in Lansing?!) But, once I arrived, the location was convenient for me as I had a meeting at a nearby business. I arrived late at night, but the staff was friendly and check-in was fast, which was much appreciated. As is typical for this range of hotels, the room beddings were thin and scratchy, and the furnishings were somwhat cheap-looking. The mattress was rather hard. The blanket on the bed was very thin, and no extra blankets were provided in the room. As a solo female traveler, I'd have preferred not to be on the ground floor, but nothing else was available by the time I checked in. If I return, I'll ask for 2nd floor when I make my reservation.
On a more positive note, everything was in clean and in good condition. Overall, the accomodations were on par with what one should reasonably expect from this mid-level price point and class of hotel. The food and soda vending machines were reasonably priced and well stocked. The wi-fi was convenient. There was a complimentary breakfast that wasn't especially extensive but sufficient. I would stay there again, but I'd rent a car rather than depending on cabs.
