My friend and I stayed here 2 nights to attend a dog show and had 3 dogs with us. The overall area is a little questionable, but we were able to go for a walk around the neighborhood and see the nice parks and historic houses.
I didn't check-in or see the lobby, so I can't comment on the process. We had a room with an indoor corridor which was nice with the weather and having to take care of dogs. There's only one small patch of grass in the back, the rest is cement. The room was decent size, fairly clean with plenty of space for luggage, dogs, etc. I felt compelled to check thoroughly for bed bugs and luckily saw NONE. The alarm clock was not plugged in as the cord didn't reach the outlet. One of the lamps didn't work, but the TV was fine. The beds were OK to sleep on, but nothing to write home about.
I had an issue with the bathroom though. The towels were quite small almost like oversized hand towels. The standup shower (no bathtub) was not clean to the point where I stood on a washcloth while showering. There were clumps of hair, pieces of soap wrapper and an overall feel of uncleanliness. Everything was in working order otherwise.
My stay was quiet, no problems with people or loud noises. The outside parking lot was NOT well lit at all, so going outside at night was not the best situation. This hotel was good for a few nights stay and that's about it. As long as you're not in the room much, it could be tolerable. Honestly, it should be torn down and rebuilt or take over a different location.
