We had no idea that Kalamazoo had such a fine restaurant. A fter selecting this restaurant from reviews on the Internet, I phoned the reference librarian at the Kalamazoo library for her recommendation. "Bravo! would be the number one choice", she said. And she was right! The new menu item, cold asparagus soup, was mildly treated with a small selections of herbs and was delicious. Others chose the mixed green salad, which was loaded with baby lettuce leaves of many varieties. The entree selections included veal scallopini with an excellent lemon butter sauce, salmon with rissoto, and lamb chops with perfectly cooked green beans.
The desserts included a fine tiramisu that was wonderfully light and very tasty. The presentation of the desserts, including a chocolate cake, was striking.
They had a very nice wine selection, and the sommelier was very friendly. He suggested a vintage that was enjoyed by all of us. He related that Bravo! was celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. We all knew that serving wonderful dishes was the key to this restaurant's sustainability. The dinging rooms were very attractively arranged, which made for a pleasant atmosphere while we dined.
