Regardless why you are in Kalamazoo, it is worth driving a bit to stay here vs. the other Hampton Inn's in the area. There are a few restaurants nearby, but Kalamazoo is small enough that anywhere you stay is within 15-20 minutes of anywhere you want to go. Most importantly, the rooms are clean, the hotel appears to have been renovated in the last year or so, and it is quiet. The one downfall is that the parking lot is rather small, and if you get in late you will have a walk. I doubt there is space to park a vehicle with a trailer...so if you are hauling something you will have to be creative with where you park.
