The Comfort Inn hotel in Ironwood Michigan gets plenty of year round use, with this part of Michigan offering much in fall color and winter related sports. So while the hotel is clean, it's just a tad dated. But like a well worn and loved pair of denim jeans, it's also quite comfortable. Very quiet. Lovely indoor swimming pool. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Housecleaning kept the room and bathroom tidy, and well stocked. Hotel's location is convenient for short jaunts into Wisconsin and some fine dining there. The morning breakfast was adequate, and even offered make-your-own waffles. The waffles may not be a deal maker, but was a nice change from the breakfast offered at other hotel chains. This is hotel offers limited frills but was clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly (staff), and inexpensive. That's was more than good enough for me. I will not hesitate to stay here again on my return trip to Ironwood MI.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Your usual basic motel, but a cut above in cleanliness and nice breakfast.

We stayed in a King Suite Room. From check in to check out, everything was excellent!! It had a refridgerator, microwave, and a wet bar sink. The room and bathroom was very spacious and clean. Also, it had a HUGE closet. The TV was a flat panel with plenty of channels. The continental breakfast was excellent as well. We didn't get down there until 9:00 (breakfast was done at 9:30) so I was expecting everything to be picked over. But it wasn't. There was plenty of everything. The staff was very personable and friendly. Thank you Comfort Inn for an excellent night stay!!! We will return.

After having stayed in a not-so-good Comfort Inn in another town, I wasn't sure what to expect with this one. A nice surprise... Although they were full occupancy the night we were there, with lots of children, everything worked well. The breakfast room was not large enough for all who were trying to eat when we were, but that was the weakest link. The orientation of the hotel - the rooms did not face the busy highway - was a well executed plan. I wish more hotels would think of that, when planning.
