My wife and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Considering the fact that several other hotels in town were fully booked, we were pleasantly surprised with the good rate we received by booking online just a couple days beforehand.
Upon check-in, we were told by the receptionist that she had upgraded us to a corner room with a king-sized bed on one of the quiet back corners of the hotel (a very nice gesture, and a nice bonus for us -- we had booked a queen bed originally).
Our room was clean and comfortable, and came equipped with a fridge, microwave, desk and chair, and a cushier soft chair. Our second-floor window overlooked a quiet residential street behind the hotel. Bathroom was clean and had not one, but two boxes of tissue provided. The bathtub made comically loud creaky sounds when you shifted your weight inside it, but otherwise it was just fine. Good water pressure. We slept very soundly in the king-sized bed.
The wireless internet worked great in the evening, but in the morning we could not seem to access it for some reason.
I believe there was a free breakfast offered in the morning, although we did not take advantage of this so I can't speak one way or another as to its quality.
Overall, the hotel is nothing fancy, but it was simple, clean, and quiet, and suited our needs just fine for a "just passin' thru" type of trip through the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin.
