“The best hotel in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2011

Everytime I'm in Holland I stay in this hotel as the service is great, the food is good and the rooms are clean! Another thing I love about this hotel is that is one of the very few hotels in town that accept pet as I'm always traveling with my little dog! The $75 fee, for what understands, is to deep clean the room after check out!

“Nice stay at the Residence Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2010

Decided to have a little holiday retreat in the Holland/Saugatuk area. This hotel was in a nice location situated right off the expressway that is easy access to both downtowns. So you are about 10 minutes driving from downtown Holland or 15 minutes driving from downtown Saugatuk. However, the hotel is in an area by itself, so no walking to restaurants or anything--you must drive. The rooms were typical Residence Inn--just what you would expect. Staff was very nice, most very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was fine--actually a bit better than other Residence Inn breakfasts. They did have a little more variety which I appreciated. However, they did have some "social hour" food one evening--ham, cheese sandwiches and I made a sandwich and ate half and gave half to my dog and we both became ill. So not sure if it was bad ham, bad mayo but they need to monitor this food. Also, many Residence Inn's serve wine or beer and this one did not. Although they had wine bottles advertised at the front desk for sale so they should have some wine for us to sample if they want us to buy it. Also I enjoyed the jacuzzi.

“Nothing special here.”

Chose this hotel for the first, and probably last time based on price. Not sure when it was built, but the most notable point about the stay - the very loud rooms. 5-doors down from elevator, and could still hear a very loud ding, water pipe noises, foot steps, and other noises. Much too loud for my taste.

Rooms are OK. Ugly carpeting, but furnishings in good to fair condition. Bed was good.

Didn't spend much time in hotel, as I was in town visiting family. Breakfast was OK. Not well stocked, and host not terribly friendly. That experience goes with front desk staff that were efficient, yet curt.

Too many other options in Holland to recommend this property.

“Very Clean and family friendly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

We stayed here for a weekend visit to Holland Michigan with our two young childrend, ages 4 and 1. The studio we stayed in was very spacious and clean! The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast in the morning was great! We didn't swim in the pool but we felt the water and it did feel a little cold, but the pool looked very clean. It is located in a somewhat industrial area where there aren't any other hotels around, but we kind of liked that. All in all, we would definitely stay here again!

“Can't wait to go back”

We found this hotel to be beautiful, friendly, safe and extremely convenient. The kitchens are awesome saving lots of time and money if staying for an extended stay. The fridge was nice and clean. The pool and exercise room was very nice and updated. The hotel personnel were OUTSTANDING!! Very helpful, very pleasant and very nice. The only thing I would suggest would be for them to use a bleaching cleaner in the bathrooms around the wall holders so it wouldn't smell musty. Overall though we were very impressed and had a great time!
