We were traveling late and needed a place to stop for the night. We were were headed toward Grand Rapids and figured we could get a better deal on the outskirts of town. We stopped at The Residence Inn to compare prices, but it was much more than the Comfort Suites (but it was newer too.) Since we were just needing somewhere for the night, we chose the Comfort Suites.
Check-in was a breeze. The lobby had a strange smell, but the halls and the room did not. The room was little out dated, but comfortable. It did have a couch which was nice. The sink and counter were outside the bathroom, which made it nice for someone to shower or use the restroom while the other one was getting ready. The room also featured a refrigerator and microwave and the free high speed internet was very helpful to us. We didn't make it to the breakfast, nor did we swim, but all in all, our stay was pleasant and I would recommend it to someone wanting a decent stay in a nice area of town. There is tons of shopping places and restaurants. We felt safe in this area.
