I was an employee at the Grand Rapids Inn and I have seen first hand how they are. The girl named Chrissy is VERY rude to customers, does not clean the rooms as the state requires and will kick anyone out she does not like and forget about getting your refund back because she will refuse to do so. The comforters and even the sheets are not changed for days to weeks on end AFTER a customer has stayed over. The rooms smell like cigeratte smoke, vial, puke, seimen and other smells I really can not inquire. The jacuzzis are NEVER cleaned and to top it all off, they rent rooms out to just paroled parolees. These are child molesters, drug dealers, violent offenders and more. Beware if you stay there. your best bet if you want a discount and a great room go to the Redroof Inn or even the Travelodge. Employees there will treat you with respect and the rooms are cleaned the way they should be.

We looked at two different rooms... there was holes in some of the walls, stains on the sheets and mold in the bathroom. We asked management for a clean room or a refund and that was not given. He told us that we could stay or he would call the cops! Can not believe that this place is rated so high. I dread hotel stay now because of the fear of going to another place like the Grand Rapids Inn.

I checked in on June 4th for a festival in downtown Grand Rapids. I was greeted by a friendly staff who gave me a king size bed room for a very low price. Upon entering my room I found it to be clean with all the amenities I needed. I was very happy with my stay
I ended up staying the next day.

I payed for the 3 night deal with my card. The room smelled like a cheap motel, the bed was sorry and woke up with a back ache! Oh well, I figured you get what you pay for. When I came back for the second night I found my key didn't work so I had the desk clerk re-key it only to find they rented it to someone else! They cleaned out the items I had in the fridge and wouldn't replace them. Well they gave me anouther room of course but how does someone re-rent a room that's been payed for already. I wouldn't stay there ever again!!
