This looked fine from the road and since it was in a good area, I didn't worry about my daughter and her husband staying there when they came to visit. I don't know how much they paid but it was seriously horrible and I regretted not driving over and checking out the place ahead of time.
I'm not super picky - I find myself snickering at how some people go around demanding different rooms over silly little things - so when I think it's awful, trust me. It felt like one of those creepy places where they have hidden video cameras. A nasty, slimy, scary place. Unless things have changed quite a bit since they stayed about three years ago, I would recommend looking elsewhere. If you live in the area and have family coming to town, do yourself a favor and drive over (with a friend, in the daylight) before booking. Fortunately there are more lodging options in the area than there used to be, there's no need to resort to this.
