We enjoyed two nights stay at Marsh Ridge in July 2010. The course fine. It just is not as sharp as it once was. The greens, fairways and rough areas are kept well. The sand traps are rather rocky. The pristine detail to the landscaping of the past is part of the past. The pool was fine. The pool specialist was on hand to provide careful attention when needed. Check-in was quite easy. We enjoyed breakfast at Jac's Place both mornings. There is a driving range, sandtrap and chipping green, and a practice putting green.
Rooms are fine. We had a room wih a king bed, a ceiling fan and air-conditioning, a whirlpool bath tub, satelite television, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a refridgerator.

I called the front desk and asked if they had some movies to rent. My family had just come back from a long snow mobile ride and we wanted to relax by the fire in our beautiful little log cabin and watch a movie. The person at the front desk apologized but said no, they didn't have any movies to rent. No worries I said, we'll just watch TV.

Five minutes later Laurie showed up at the front door with a nice selection of movies. "I raided my husbands DVD stash", she said. I've traveled all my life, stayed in some of the nicest hotels in the world, and this was a first.

Everything they did at Marsh Ridge was all about simple service. Call it good ole fashion mid western work ethic, or just plain kindness. Whatever it was, I felt like I was at home surrounded by friends. Well done Marsh Ridge!

These folks were great!

We thought we would try this resort as their website looked great....... we went into our room and it was a little outdated, but not awful. The next morning, we heard this chomping noise.... IT WAS A MOUSE eating our penuts in our overnight back - it looked like there might have been 2 of them in there. We got up quickly and checked out immediately! Also beware that there isn't someone at the desk 24 hrs per day. I couldn't complain to them until around 9:00 AM when they got in. Stay at the Hampton Inn in Gaylord - Luxury Hotel compared to this place!!!

When we arrived at Marsh Ridge we noticed a nice range, clubhouse and restaurant. Our room on the other hand was large but shabby. We were disappointed by the cleanliness and overall condition. The golf course at Marsh Ridge was great as well as our dinner at Jac's Place. My wife enjoyed the golf as much as I did as it is very female friendly.
