This was my first time at a B&B. So I was a little nervous. I spend a lot of time in hotels in multiple states, hence Road Warrior. The Gerber Guest House has a history tied to the Gerber Family, yes the baby food. It is an older 2 level home. The guest rooms are upstairs have their own private bath rooms. Some rooms will have their own refridge but there is a big one very close downstairs if you don't. The beds, I have been there twice for 3 weeks, are very comfortable. Flat screen tvs in all the rooms, everything that a normal hotel room has. The true benefit comes from Bill and Jan. They let you have your privacy and at the same time let you know that they are there, if you need them. They have been part of the community for a very long time, so they can tell you where you can eat good food or where you might not want to eat. They can give suggestions for things to do, helps on those extended stays and the real difference for me came with while there, I felt like part of their family. I stayed in my room, like a hotel mostly at first, I began to warm up to them and felt more like I visiting the home of good friends, something that just doesn't happen at hotels. I feel confident in giving them excellent and would give excellent plus if they had it. Having the option of a full kitchen is also nice. Give them a try if you are in Fremont, MI I am sure you will feel the same way.
