I would classify this as an over- priced Super 8!
The front end staff was pleasant! Cleaning staff (never met them) need a makeover! Our room had not been dusted for at least a week. (Made me wonder when it was last cleaned?) Very disappointed rooms are not check before guest arrives. I found the breakfast staff, was put in a very awkward situation. If you paid room premium your breakfast will be included. If you get a discount rate (you become a different level of a guest). The staff member had to constantly check to each guest to make sure they were entitled to a free breakfast. THIS is ABSOLUTLY a first for me with the Marriott. I often stay at the Marriott, but will think twice to use the Courtyard Division. All guest should be treated the same, NOT categorized by room rate!
Not sure if this is an isolated issue and only happens in Flint .. But none the less .. I am a once bitten twice shy kind of person.
I would suggest the Hamptons or Holiday Inn close by!

First the good. Front desk staff and breakfast waitress are very friendly. The breakfast is pretty good for a free hotel breakfast. The beds and pillows are very comfy.

The bad: cleaning staff needs improvement. We had food on the carpet and popcorn around our bed. The headboard had food stains on it and was dusty, also. Plus, there was make-up on one of our pillows. We expressed our concern to the front desk and they were very responsive.

Would I stay there again? Probably, but I might look at the holiday inn next door, first.

We stayed just one night, the hotel is very clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was included with our price; not great, but enough food to get you going in the morning. Coffee/tea is available in the lobby if you need a cup when you first wake up. The pool area is small and the pool is not very deep, but the water is warm and relaxing. There is also a hot tub that was very nice.

I booked this hotel through Priceline and called the hotel to arrange for a room with 2 beds. When I got to the hotel, they told me that since I'd booked through Priceline, I had to take a room with 1 king bed. I informed them that this had not been the case with other bookings I had done, and then they did give us 2 beds.

The room was o.k., but had some sort of chemical odor. The beds and carpet were clean. The bathroom had been remodeled and looked nice, BUT when I took shower, the water did not properly drain. By the end of my shower I was standing in 3-4 inches of soapy water. Yuck!

The hotel does not have a free breakfast, and there is not a refrigerator in the room. The staff person who checked me out was friendly and competent.
