This was a great deal for what I paid. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. It was very spacious with lots of floor space. The website mentions a microwave and refrigerator, although the fine print says that these are available in some rooms. Mine did not have these. However, the wireless internet worked fine. The King sized bed also came with a large comfy chair with footstool and desk area. The heater was warm, but a bit noisy. Also, the entrance was an internal hotel style. I did hear other guests in the hallway, but nothing out of the ordinary. Otherwise it was quiet.
The gentleman at the front desk each evening was very polite and friendly. I was impressed with the check in process. However, each morning, I found the front desk un-maned. In fact, on my final day as I was leaving, I found the front door locked (had to unlock it to get out and if I had not been in my room, there would have been no way to get back in prior to unlocking). I passed by the front desk and what looked like a break room/back room for the staff several times within a 15 minute period as I was packing my car. I never saw or heard anyone. I ended up leaving my key at the front desk, as there were no instructors in my room concerning check-out and none had been given to me when I originally checked-in. I didn't like the conclusion of doing business, especially considering that everything else was so positive.
Bristol Road is actually conveniently located between I-45 and I-475. There were several fast food places in this area (McDonald's, KFC, 24-hour Wendy's/Tim Horton's). I saw one dinner, but unsure of the quality. There were also several gas stations and a couple of drug stores. There was also a grocery store. The airport is almost next-door and past it there were also some businesses, but I did not explore these. It seemed like a nice part of town.
The breakfast was your choice of two types of cereal or doughnuts (I only saw a total of two of these, though.) There was also orange juice, milk, and coffee. Being that the front desk person was nowhere in sight, I worry how long the milk actual sat outside of a refrigerator. I did not eat anything.
It was challenging to find coming off of I-45, because the hotel was *RIGHT* there and the sign was actually attached to the Days Inn that was next door. (FYI, from the outside this also looked like a nice place.)
