My boyfriend and I made a reservation for this hotel based on the website information, it looked like a decent hotel and the rate seemed reasonable. We are from Flint, so we were familiar with the area. When we arrived at 3:00pm which is there check in time, we were told the rooms were not ready yet. When we asked when we could expect to check in the front desk staff said "I have no idea". Wow, I think that's good customer service. We came back about 45 minutes later the room still wasn't ready. When we did get in our room the TV would not work, the phone would not call out, the jacuzzi tub drain would not stay plugged. In the pool area there are no food or drinks allowed. I think what I would rate the worst isthe attitude of the staff. They were not friendly, considerate, or even said"I'm sorry" for any inconvenience.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Americinn Flint. I am sorry that your visit with us did not meet your expectations. After reading your review, I shared your comments with staff and management, and it is true that under normal circumstances our check in time is 3:00 and we do our best to honor that selected time. Sometimes its just not possible.
The staff should of been more accommodating and based on your comment, changes will be put into place to eliminate problems in the future.
Again, I am sorry that your experience was less than it should of been but I do hope that you will give the Americinn another chance in the future to prove that the things you experienced, are not a normal occurance.
