We are in town doing construction work. They gave us a great rate. New beds, the rooms have been fixed up from a couple of years ago. Still didn't change the carpet though. The internet is on again off again, sucks for the most part. Staff was very friendly. Asked for a new shower curtain and got one the next day. They took care of any requests we had asap. It's nothing special, but it was clean and cheap.

Worst hotel ever, located in a bad area, hotel should be bull dozed. This hotel should not carry the Super 8 brand.

The Super 8 in East Lansing was horrible. Seriously bad. I half expected to find a chalk outline of a body on the carpet.

We were in town to watch the Final Four tournament in which MSU played. This place was so bad I slept on the bed with my clothes on. To say it was dirty is an understatement. The bathroom was enough to make you gag with spiders under washcloths, etc. And there was the most vile, indescribable smell.

Fortunately, we got toasted at a local bar. There's no way we could've slept here if we hadn't.

Do yourself a favor: Stay anywhere in E Lansing but here.

We had guaranteed reservations for a handicapped room at the Super 8 E Lansing/University Area last Friday. When we arrived, the room we were given was simply not acceptable. It was too small for a manual wheelchair, and would have been inaccessible for a scooter. Incredibly, it had an approximately 1” step at the front door and at the restroom entrance (I had to go in backwards). Entry to the commode required a sharp 90o turn through a door that was too narrow for a wheelchair, and the room would have been too small to transfer (but I couldn’t get in anyway). There were no grab bars at either the tub or commode. It was a handicapped room in name only, and the manager didn’t seem to understand what a handicapped room needed. We asked that the desk clerk make suitable arrangements for us at another location (which he reluctantly did). My wife also talked with other (not handicapped) customers who were upset about their accommodations too.
