I had a late night business event at MSU and didn't want to drive back to Detroit the same night so decided to stay nearby.
This TownePlace was fine. I got a good night sleep, the room was clean and I guess that qualifies as a good stay.
I was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite because of my elite status (didn't need all the space for one person), but it was large.
Furnishings are very basic. Televisions are the old-fashioned CRT tubes, I don't see those often.
I would definitely have appreciated it more for an extended stay, as the room does have a full kitchen and is designed to allow one to cook large meals for a family.
I did find the layout a little odd, as the bathroom was opposite the kitchen and not adjacent to either bedroom. In the middle of the night, it took a little effort to find it.
I also was not happy with a room adjacent to the stairwell, as the walls were quite thin and the door slammed really loud and would shake the bedroom. I had to switch bedrooms during the night to the one on the other side of the suite, but that was the smaller bedroom without the tv.
So make sure you're not put in a room next to the stairs. I was disappointed that such a room was given to an elite member.
I probably would not stay here again.
